Account Deletion

At DigiLog, we respect your right to privacy and your right to request the deletion of your personal data in accordance with the Nigerian Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
⚠️ Important Information Regarding SIWES Data:
Please note that because DigiLog processes statutory educational data required by institutions and the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), certain academic records (such as your final scores, submitted logbooks, and completion certificates) must be retained for a minimum of 5 years to comply with regulatory requirements, even if you request account deletion.
How to Request Account Deletion
To initiate the deletion of your account and personal data, please follow these steps:
- Send an email to privacy@digilog.com from the official email address associated with your DigiLog account.
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request".
- Include your full name, your institution, and your SIWES/Matriculation number in the body of the email.
What Happens Next?
Upon receiving your request:
- Our Data Protection Officer will review your request within 7-14 business days.
- We will securely erase your personal profile data, biometric references (if any were synced), and remove your access credentials from our active database.
- We will anonymize historical logbook data where necessary, ensuring it can no longer be linked to your personal identity, except where retention is legally mandated by the ITF.
